Introduction

We are seeking a Technical Illustrator to join the Technical Information Team in Vadodara, India. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical illustrations, exploded views, installation instructions, service manuals, parts identification visuals, and other technical documentation that support global engineering, manufacturing, service, and aftermarket operations. You will work closely with engineering and technical documentation teams to transform complex technical information into clear, accurate, and user-friendly visual content.

In this position, you will report to the Manager, Services – Technical Information and collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide.

This position is based in Vadodara, Gujarat, India, with occasional travel (up to 10%) as required.

Team You Belong To

You will be part of the Technical Information Team, responsible for developing and maintaining technical illustrations, service documentation, spare parts publications, and engineering information. The team plays a critical role in supporting engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service, and aftermarket operations by ensuring technical information is accurate, consistent, and easily accessible.

What You'll Do

• Create high-quality technical illustrations, exploded views, line drawings, and graphical content for technical publications.
• Generate illustrations from 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering data.
• Develop and maintain visual content for operation manuals, maintenance manuals, installation guides, and spare parts documentation.
• Create and update artwork based on engineering changes and product modifications.
• Convert complex engineering information into clear, user-friendly visual documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, technical writers, and product specialists to ensure technical accuracy.
• Maintain illustration standards and ensure consistency across documentation.
• Support digital publishing and documentation development initiatives.
• Participate in process improvement and system development activities related to technical documentation.
• Provide back-office support for technical information, service, and on-site support teams.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Technical Communication, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical illustration, engineering documentation, or technical publications.
• Experience creating technical illustrations, exploded views, assembly drawings, and service documentation.
• Basic knowledge of 3D CAD modelling and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with CAD applications such as:

• Experience with illustration and visualization tools such as Rapid Illustrator, Cortona 3D, or similar solutions is considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and documentation-related tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills in a global work environment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, with experience collaborating with international teams.
