The Mechanical Field Technical Field Advisor is expected to support Construction and Commissioning activities associated with the Exhaust Hot Gas Path Main Equipment, Auxiliaries, and Emissions Control devices—including, but not limited to, Selective Catalytic Reduction and Catalytic Oxidation systems—across Heavy Frame Simple Cycle (SC), Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT), and Combined Heat and Power (CCHP) projects in both Multi Shaft and Single Shaft configurations. This position reports to the Director of Construction Services or their designate and participates as a Technical Field Advisor for Project Execution. The role requires a general knowledge of Power Plant Construction, Commissioning, and Start-up processes.

Key Responsibilities

Set clear expectations, mentor team members, and resolve interdepartmental challenges by facilitating regular strategy meetings and driving alignment towards shared project objectives.
    • Monitor all phases of the project to verify adherence to standard operating procedures, legal mandates, and best practices. Ensure documentation is thorough and up to date, conduct periodic audits, and provide guidance to team members regarding regulatory obligations and corporate expectations.
    • Manage the collection and organization of essential project documentation—including permits, safety data sheets, technical drawings, and vendor manuals assuring all records are readily accessible, complete, and current. Empower team members by implementing efficient documentation systems and verifying operational readiness through meticulous oversight.
    • Analyze detailed plans, blueprints, equipment requirements, and contracts to ensure every job meets technical and commercial criteria. Identify ambiguities, gaps, or conflicting clauses in any documentation and seek clarification before work begins.
    • Model exemplary safety practices and inspire a culture of safety leadership on site. Personally demonstrate proper safety techniques, enforce the consistent use of PPE, conduct hazard assessments, and lead emergency preparedness initiatives. Organize and lead toolbox talks and safety campaigns, motivating others to prioritize safety in all activities.
    • T ake ownership of site reporting responsibilities by preparing and delivering comprehensive reports such as Erection and Commissioning Project Action Requests (PARs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Technical Queries (TQs). Ensure that daily or weekly updates on site activities, milestones, challenges, and solutions are clear, actionable, and submitted promptly to drive informed decision-making and maintain project momentum
    • Champion structured problem-solving by leading investigations into incidents or performance gaps. Collaborate with subject matter experts to collect evidence, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and mentoring team members to prevent recurrence and enhance future project outcomes.
