Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Technical Facilities Supervisor at ARC'One, you are the hands-on technical lead ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of all building systems across the site. You oversee critical infrastructure including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, utilities, and life safety systems to ensure they operate safely, efficiently, and without interruption.
You bring deep technical expertise to troubleshooting, coordinating specialized vendors and contractors, and supporting maintenance and capital projects that keep the facility operating at peak performance. Working closely with the Manager, Facilities & Workplace Experience, you help protect business continuity by ensuring that all core building systems are proactively maintained, monitored, and continuously improved.
You also contribute to long-term system planning by identifying infrastructure risks, supporting asset lifecycle strategies, and helping shape technical improvements that enhance the ARC'One facility.

Our work is organized around three pillars. Operations maintains and improves the physical infrastructure to protect safety, reliability, and business continuity. Workplace Experience shapes environments that enable our culture through exceptional service and thoughtful partnerships. Projects delivers complex, time-sensitive capital projects that enable growth, support production, and continuously improve our spaces and infrastructure.

As the Technical Facilities Supervisor, you act as the operational backbone for building systems performance. You work closely with Facilities Specialists and Coordinators who focus on workplace experience and service delivery, ensuring the technical systems supporting those environments run seamlessly.

You partner closely with Manufacturing, Distribution, Health & Safety, Security, and the Facilities Projects team to ensure building infrastructure supports production, protects people, and enables the business to operate without interruption.

If you were our Technical Facilities Supervisor today, you would be:

Facilities Systems Operations (MEP-first)

  • Owning the performance and reliability of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing/process water, compressed air, chillers, utilities, and fire/life safety systems

  • Conducting inspections, troubleshooting issues, and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance

  • Identifying recurring system issues and implementing improvements to reduce downtime

  • Maintaining accuratesystem documentation, service logs, and technical records

  • Supporting lifecycle planning and providing technical input into capital replacement strategies

Technical Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution

  • Acting as the site’s technical authority for building systems troubleshooting

  • Diagnosing alarms, failures, and anomalies; coordinating repairs with internal teams and vendors

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting building automation systems (BAS/BMS) to ensure correct sequences of operation

  • Supporting equipment installs, moves, and infrastructure adjustments across production and office environments

Vendor, Contractor & Service Partner Oversight

  • Coordinating and supervising specialized trades (HVAC technicians, electricians, controls technicians, and life safety inspectors, and more)

  • Ensuring vendors meet all safety, technical, and service-qualitystandards

  • Reviewing vendor reports and escalating issues where required

Compliance, Regulatory & Safety

  • Ensuring all building systems work complies with building codes, technical standards, and WorkSafeBC requirements

  • Supporting site emergency preparedness through the upkeep life safety and critical systems

  • Maintaining documentation for inspections, permits, and regulatory testing

Project Execution & Technical Support

  • Supporting renovations, equipment installations, and infrastructure upgrades

  • Reviewing drawings and system layouts to ensure compatibility with facility operations

  • Supporting commissioning and handover of new equipment and infrastructure

CMMS & Asset Management

  • Maintaining asset records, preventive maintenance schedules, and work orders in CMMS

  • Monitoring maintenance trends and system performance to support predictive maintenance and operational improvements

Sustainability & Energy Management

  • Monitoring energy usage and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains

Team Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Providing technical guidance to Facilities Specialists and Coordinators

  • Partnering with Manufacturing, Distribution, and Workplace Experience teams to ensure systems support operational needs

Are you our future Technical Facilities Supervisor?

  • You have a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Building Engineering/Technology, Facilities Management, or a Red Seal trade (Electrician, Millwright, Refrigeration/HVAC), or equivalent experience

  • You have 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with mechanical and electrical building systems in manufacturing, distribution, or commercial environments

  • You are technically proficient and able to read and interpret architectural drawings, MEP drawings, and sequences of operation

  • You have strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing/process water, compressed air, and life safety systems

  • You have experience working with CMMS platforms and building automation systems (BAS/BMS)

  • You have experience supervising vendors and coordinating specialized contractors

  • You have strong knowledge of building codes, technical standards, and WorkSafeBC safety requirements

  • You are a collaborative problem-solver who can bridge technical building operations with workplace and production needs

  • You communicate clearly and confidently with technical vendors, internal teams, and leadership

  • You are proactive in identifying system risks and opportunities for operational improvement

  • You bring strong organizational skills and attention to detail in live production environments

  • You are committed to continuous improvement and take pride in protecting the safety, reliability, and performance of the facility
