What are your contributions to the team?

Technical Leadership
• Lead engineering transformation projects and liaise with external stakeholders
• Review and approve design changes
• Technical oversight on new customer complex projects
• Recommend new cost-effective engineering solutions
• Advise engineering leadership on strategic initiatives
• Mentor Engineer professionals from your technical discipline and successors
• Enforce adherence to Bombardier Engineering System (BES) practices and Knowledge Standards to promote
integrity and consistency
• Support problem solving across relevant knowledge areas
• Influence Knowledge Domain mid and long-term vision
• Influence Knowledge Domain strategy, objectives, key SME participant for review with Fellows
• Identify skills gaps in Knowledge Domain
• Key Subject Matter Expert participant in Knowledge Domain activities
• Collect/Validate Lessons Learned in Knowledge Domain in support of Knowledge Owner
• Provide recommendations for promotions
• Propose the implementation of technical innovations based on knowledge of industry trends through Advanced
Design and Strategic Technology
• Recommend new cost-effective engineering solutions through Knowledge Domains and Programs
• MR&O development support (review and acceptance) for new Product Development
• Lead and coordinate the A/C level requirement and design solution development through the DR&O, ARD, &
TRD,-Includes coordinating with other functions to ensure completeness and cohesiveness -Lead and Coordinate
technically the Verification and Validation (V&V) efforts at A/C level
• Derivative MR&O development support (review and acceptance) -Derivative DR&O/ARD preparation and Peer
work
• Work to resolve systemic in-service issues affecting continued airworthiness and customer acceptance
• Participate in Commodity Strategy reviews with Sourcing
• Identify opportunities with Sourcing for program cost savings
Technical Competency
• Enforce adherence to Bombardier Engineering System (BES) practices and Knowledge Standards to promote
product line integrity and consistency -
• Maintain competitive landscape of technologies and performance of non-Bombardier models
• Perform RoM business cases and statements of work for technical studies Lead aircraft studies having multidisciplinary inputs
• Support programs in Major Manufacturing issues – Major RNC’s, Major Non-Disclosure
• Multi-disciplinary alignment for Triage, CARB and AOG issues when necessary
• Work with Management on PCR process, cycle times, optimized solutions

How to thrive in this role?

As our ideal candidate
• Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering
• Over 15 year or more of relevant experience in Aerospace Completions Engineering
• Has experience on at least 1 or more development programs
• Expert in one or more areas of Cabin Systems
• Has strong knowledge with the specification, design, integration, test and certification of Cabin Systems
• Has proven project management abilities (Project Management PMP® Certification is an asset)
• Has strong knowledge of Bombardier Engineering Systems (BES) and all Bombardier processes
• Has strong knowledge of Bombardier Change Management Processes
• Has proven leadership abilities and experience in transformation projects
• Has excellent problem-solving skills
• Has ability to manage time and prioritize work
• Has strong communication skills (verbal and written) and proficient in French and English
