Job Description

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Technical Expert – Printing Industry to support our inspection, testing, and certification services across the printing sector. This role requires deep technical expertise in printing operations and a strong understanding of relevant quality, environmental, and occupational health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on printing industry processes and best practices
• Support audit and certification activities for printing companies
• Assess compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements
• Conduct technical evaluations of pre-press, printing, binding, and finishing operations
• Collaborate with clients to identify process improvements and risk mitigation strategies
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations based on industry standards
• Serve as a subject matter expert for internal teams and clients

Required Qualifications

Professional Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of working experience in printing companies (operational, technical, or quality roles)
• Demonstrated expertise in printing industry processes and operations

Technical Knowledge

In-depth knowledge of core printing industry processes, including:

• Newspaper Printing – offset, digital, or flexographic printing techniques
• Commercial/General Printing – color management, substrate handling, finishing
• Pre-press & Pre-media Services – file preparation, color separation, plate making, digital workflows
• Binding & Related Services – collating, stitching, perfect binding, case binding, finishing operations

Standards & Compliance Expertise

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems)
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems)
• Working knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems)
• Ability to assess compliance and identify gaps in printing operations
