The Retail Payments team is a key part in our Retail Checkout Area. Our mission is to deliver secure, modular payment solutions that balance cost efficiency with competitive time-to-market delivery. As a global team, we support card and alternative payment methods across all H&M stores, brands, and markets.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Technical Engineer within Retail Payments, you will play a key role in driving payment initiatives across H&M's global retail landscape. You will coordinate stakeholders, manage dependencies, improve processes, and ensure successful delivery across markets, vendors, and internal teams. You are a structured and proactive person who enjoys creating clarity, driving accountability, and turning decisions into action.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Drive payment initiatives from idea to implementation across markets, vendors and internal teams.
  • Coordinate stakeholders, risks, dependencies and delivery plans to ensure successful execution.
  • Support the implementation and rollout of payment solutions across H&M's global retail landscape.
  • Establish and improve ways of working, governance processes and operational routines within Retail Payments.
  • Facilitate decision-making through clear communication, structure and status reporting.
  • Challenge stakeholders and vendors when commitments, timelines or quality expectations are at risk.

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE

  • Proven experience in project coordination, delivery management or systems integration.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across multiple teams and external partners.
  • Understanding of payment systems, POS environments and technical integrations.
  • Comfortable driving accountability, following up on commitments and pushing initiatives forward.
  • Structured, organized and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong communicator, capable of engaging both technical specialists and senior stakeholders.
