Technical & Investment Writer

Location: DRC (Site-Based, Rotation)
Employment Type: Contract 12-month

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical & Investment Writer to support our client's project team by translating complex technical and financial information into clear, executive-level documentation and investment recommendations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in converting project scope, technical specifications, and financial analysis into compelling materials for capital expenditure applications and investment decision-making.

This role bridges the gap between technical teams and executive stakeholders, ensuring information is communicated clearly, accurately, and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Translate technical and financial data into clear, concise executive-level reports and investment recommendations

  • Prepare capital expenditure applications, business cases, and investment documentation

  • Develop high-quality content including reports, whitepapers, and project documentation

  • Support the creation of scope of work documents and technical guides

  • Standardise and edit content to ensure clarity, consistency, and professionalism

  • Collaborate with engineers, finance teams, and SMEs to gather and interpret information

  • Tailor communication for different audiences, from technical teams to senior leadership

  • Ensure all documentation aligns with internal standards and requirements

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Communications, or related field

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a mining, EPCM, or industrial environment

  • Strong understanding of investment analysis and project environments

  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear written content

  • Experience supporting projects and capital investment processes

  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams

  • Previous expat experience in Africa advantageous
