Job Description

In this role, your work will help teams understand complex systems and deliver projects with clarity. As a Technical Document Writer at CMC Markets, you will translate technical information into clear, structured documentation that supports developers, project teams and business stakeholders.

Your work will directly support the successful delivery of technology initiatives across the organisation. When teams understand systems, processes and requirements clearly, they can deliver better outcomes for our clients. The documentation you produce will become a trusted resource used across projects and operational teams.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers and subject matter experts across the business. This exposure gives you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of financial technology, large-scale systems and enterprise projects. It is an environment where curiosity, learning and collaboration are valued.

This is a 12 months maximum contract role.

What you’ll be working on

In this role, you will create and maintain documentation that supports technology projects and operational processes across the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Writing and maintaining technical documentation, process documentation and project artefacts

  • Translating complex technical concepts into clear and accessible written content

  • Working with project managers, engineers and subject matter experts to gather and validate information

  • Documenting system processes, workflows, architecture overviews and project deliverables

  • Ensuring documentation follows consistent standards and remains accurate and up to date

  • Supporting project teams by organising information so it is easy to access and understand

  • Contributing to the overall quality and clarity of documentation used across technology and project teams

  • Your work will help teams deliver projects more efficiently and ensure knowledge is preserved across the organisation.

We are looking for someone who enjoys organising complex information and turning it into clear, practical documentation.

You are likely to succeed in this role if you bring:

  • Experience writing technical or project documentation in a technology environment

  • The ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly

  • Strong written communication and attention to detail

  • Confidence working with technical teams and business stakeholders

  • The ability to structure and organise information logically

  • A proactive mindset and strong time management skills

  • Experience working within technology, financial services, or project environments will be highly regarded.
