Responsibilities/Accountabilities
• Establish technical excellence in the field of transmission & distribution
and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) with the ability to provide
strategic direction, technical oversight in relation to technical design, best
industry practices, emerging technologies, market trends, and future
developments.
• Lead and manage critical technical deliverables of feasibility studies,
FEED, PMC and detailed designs of transmission & distribution projects
including review and approve key design documents, specifications and
engineering calculations
• Lead technical engagement with project stakeholders including OEMs,
Owner’s Engineer, Contractors, Authorities etc. Represent the company in
high-level technical discussions and project reviews.
• Supports T&D business operation activities including business
development, prospecting and participating in client facing meetings
• Collaborate with regional leaders of Energy in growing T&D business,
including engagement with prospects, providing technical delivery
strategy for bids and presentations
• Supports the regional leaders in formulation of strategic business plans to
grow T&D business
• Develop & support project planning activities from initial business
development stages to final delivery implementation
• Mentor junior engineers and enhance technical capabilities within the
team to foster a high-performance culture.
Required experience:
• Minimum 15 years of experience in managing and/or design engineering
of T&D projects with at least 5 years in technical leadership or director level post
Proven experience with large-scale T&D projects
• Able to lead diversified and multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Able to project manage assigned projects independently and possess
strong presentation, communication and report writing skills
• Good spoken and written English
• Able to travel for oversea projects at short notice
• Good team ethics and communication skills.
• Able to work with a diversified team and teams across local and regional
borders, well-organised and is able to work well in a dynamic work
environment.
• Strong writing skills, verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to be an independent problem solver
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic & energetic is a must
