Job Description

We're partnering with a contemporary women's fashion brand to find an experienced Technical Designer to manage the technical development process from prototype through production. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fittings, garment construction, and collaborating with design, production, and overseas factories to bring high-quality products to market.
In office Monday - Friday in DTLA

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the technical design process from proto through TOP approval.
  • Conduct fittings, evaluate garment fit and construction, and document fit comments.
  • Create and maintain specs, tech packs, and sample requests in PLM (WFX preferred).
  • Communicate fit corrections and production approvals with overseas factories.
  • Ensure measurement, construction, and quality standards are maintained throughout development.
  • Partner with design and production teams to meet seasonal calendars and key milestones.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of technical design experience in women's apparel.
  • Strong experience with soft wovens, cut & sew, and fully fashioned knit categories.
  • Experience working with overseas factories and imported production.
  • Background supporting major retail accounts.
  • Strong fitting, garment construction, and pattern interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in PLM (WFX preferred), Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication and project management skills.
