Job Description

Your Role 

As a Technical Designer at Gensler, you will collaborate with a team of architects and designers to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction administration phase of a project.Your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with a focus on project delivery and anunderstandinghow to produce functionally beautiful designs.  You will drive delivery of a project, collaborate with office and regional technical leaders, and develop delivery and process improvement strategy.Your work ethic, combined with your commitment to collaboration and mentoring, makes Gensler the perfect place to nurture your career. 

What You Will Do

  • Work with the Design Director(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production

  • Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions

  • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, andassistin construction drawings

  • Assistin managing client expectations, teamcommunicationand consultant coordination

  • Participate in office culture and initiatives

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architectureor Interiorsfrom an accredited school 

  • 0-3 years of experience

  • Knowledge of Revit, Adobe Suite, and Rhinorequired

  • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas

  • Knowledge of InDesign, SketchUp, Grasshopper, Parametric Modeling, a plus

  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development

  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly

  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills

  • LEED accreditation a plus
