Your Role

As a Technical Designer with Gensler’s team in Philadelphiayou will support the design anddeliverysome of the most complex and impactfulprojectsin the region. You will bring together design excellence, technical rigor, and strategic thinking to deliver architecture that is both deeply functional and experientially rich.

You will work within a highly collaborative, client-focused culture that values design quality, resilience, and socialpurpose This role offers the opportunity to apply informed, user-centered design to unlock solutions that are defining the next chapter of designthrough spaces that adapt, endure, and elevate the human experience.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with a team of Architects and Interior Designers that bring design dreams to lifethrough innovativeproblem solving and design best practices

  • Produce technical documentation and communicate project progress to team members to ensure success

  • Design and deliver functional and beautiful spacesfor a diversity of project types

  • Develop drawings, details, and diagrams using Revit, and other toolsas needed

  • Support all phases of the project from conceptual/schematic design through construction administration

  • Support coordinationwithconsultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives

  • Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, andmaintainquality control during construction

  • Utilize handdrawingsand 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts    

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecturefrom an accredited program

  • 1-3 years ofrelevantexperiencewithin aprofessionaldesign firm Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques is preferred

  • Experience in construction document preparation, construction administration, andfield observation is preferred

  • ProficientwithRevit

  • ProficiencywithSketchUp,other 3D modeling software, and the Adobe CreativeSuite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)is preferred

  • S trongverbal and writtencommunication, organization, and collaboration skills

  • Passion for design excellence and continuous learning

  • LEED accreditation or WELL AP is preferred

  • Demonstrated commitment to resilienceandsustainable building practices
