Job Title: Technical Delivery Manager
Reports to: Head of Product Management

The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for driving the successful delivery of complex technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams. This role ensures that delivery timelines, milestones, and dependencies are well-defined and executed efficiently, while proactively managing risks and maintaining clear communication with senior stakeholders.
You will act as the connective tissue between engineering, product, and business stakeholders — ensuring that teams have the clarity, structure, and support they need to deliver high-quality outcomes on time.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Planning & Execution

  • Create, maintain, and communicate detailed delivery timelines, identifying key milestones, dependencies, and critical paths

  • Coordinate cross-team delivery activities, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, and operations.

  • Manage rollout plans, ensuring smooth deployment and onboarding of new products or features.

  • Track progress, manage scope changes, and ensure transparent reporting on delivery status.

  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements throughout implementation and scoping.

Team Coordination

  • Facilitate multiple engineering teams, ensuring they have the right priorities, tickets, and technical context.

  • Work closely with Product Managers and Tech Leads to define and refine backlog items.

  • Identify and remove delivery blockers, escalating issues when necessary.

  • Promote Agile best practices and continuous delivery improvement.

Risk & Dependency Management

  • Anticipate and document delivery risks and mitigation plans.

  • Identify cross-functional dependencies early, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve conflicts.

  • Manage release readiness — ensuring environments, testing, and documentation are in place for smooth launches.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide regular delivery updates to senior leadership and stakeholders through concise reports or presentations.

  • Translate complex technical updates into clear business language.

  • Represent delivery status, priorities, and risks in executive reviews and steering meetings.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in delivery or program management within a technical / software engineering environment.

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps concepts.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a sharp eye for dependencies and bottlenecks.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience managing multiple projects or teams in parallel.

  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, Asana, Trello, or Azure DevOps

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in software development, engineering, or systems delivery (not required, but advantageous).

  • Experience in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Strong data-driven mindset for reporting and performance tracking.
