This V.I.E program is an opportunity for talent recently graduated from a higher education institution, who are citizens of the European Economic Area, to work with Murex in our Tokyo office for a duration of 12 months as an assistant consultant in JP Operations/Finance team. Murex ASIA (Tokyo office):

The Tokyo office has about 40 employees, and we hire V.I.E every year. Tokyo office is primarily client-facing and focuses on delivering consulting service to our Japanese clients. Our office is conveniently located near Tokyo Station and offers a pleasant environment with beautiful greenery.

Murex provides various tasks ranging from finance-focused to technical software roles.

In financial area, you will participate and contribute to the review, analysis, and verification of business requirements and you will support the application to ensure technical and business specifications are met.

In technical area, you will work more on the software solution itself and will analyze software configuration related to clients’ business cases and will identify any software issues.

As a consultant at Murex, you will be exposed to a top-tier enterprise system and will be trained (both classroom and on-the-job training) to equip you with product knowledge. The program will enable you to learn and experience both consultancy and client support services (Our clients are mainly banks).

Examples of Responsibilities:

You will be assigned to a team that handles Back-office operations for financial institutions (trade validation, confirmation, settlement, accounting, etc.).

  • Collecting and analyzing business requirements related to Back-office business
  • Designing, configuring, and testing our packaged software system (software development is handled by the dedicated team in our Paris office)
  • Providing technical support after system go-live
  • Delivering training to partners and clients’ IT departments
  • Supporting pre-sales activities (functional demo and presentation etc.)

Program Duration:

  • 12 months and can be extended if agreed mutually.

To be successful in the role, you should possess:

  • Grandes Ecoles students and Master students in STEM studies, Financial Engineering/Applied Finance/Fintech related programs
  • 0-2 years of working experience in software development or financial technical support
  • Curiosity and the ability to rapidly learn and apply new concepts
  • A highly developed and keen sense of teamwork
  • The highest standards of integrity and honesty
  • Basic understanding of UNIX/Linux
  • Basic understanding of SQL
  • Basic to advanced Japanese and strong willingness to learn Japanese
