Technical Consultant - Patient Monitoring (Field: Kansas City, KS)

Accelerate your impact as a Technical Consultantin our Hospital Patient Monitoring business, where you’ll independently lead complex patient monitoring implementations, serve as a trusted technical expert to customers, and drive reliable, secure, and high-performing healthcare solutions while mentoring others and shaping how services are delivered.

Your role:

  • Independently lead and execute complex system installations, upgrades, and implementations across patient monitoring and IT infrastructure environments, ensuring reliable performance and high-quality deliveryProvide hands-onexpertisein troubleshooting, validation, and system optimization tomaintainoperational continuity.

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for system architecture, networking decisions, configuration validation, and risk managementDiagnoseandresolvecomplex system and performance issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques and structured problem-solving approaches.

  • Engage customers as a trusted advisor to understand technical environments, workflows, and operational challengesLead technical discussions and deliver tailored recommendations that align solutions with clinical, business, and strategicobjectives

  • Own configuration management, version control, and system validation while developing and promoting standardized methodologies and best practicesEnsure consistency, scalability, and compliance while contributing to continuous improvement and organizational knowledge sharing.

  • Collaborate cross-functionallywith sales, clinical, service, and project teams while mentoring junior consultants to build technical capability and consistencyRepresent the organization professionally,strengtheningcustomerrelationshipsandsupportinglong-term success and growth.

You'rethe right fit if:

  • You’veacquired5+ yearsofprofessionalworking experience in ITservicesor related technical environmentsExperienceworking in a hospital or clinical IT environmentrequired; experiencewith patient monitoring, telemetry units, ventilators, and defibrillators highly preferred.

  • Your skills include advanced knowledgeofcomputer networking,system integration, and technical troubleshootingin a healthcare IT environmentActive Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certificationrequired; higher-level Cisco certifications (e.g.,CCNP) are also acceptable.

  • You have an associate degree in computer science, biomedical, engineering, or related fieldof study, or equivalent combination of education and above listed experienceBachelor’s degree preferred.

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Field ServicepositionYoumust be able to

  • Travel for businessApproximately 75%travelacross the specified geography is requiredThe average driving time is 1-4 hours dailyOccasional overnight stays and travel by air and/or train may berequired

  • Work in an office/home office and/or remote setting, as well as in a hospital/healthcare environment; adhere to requirementsandcomply withvendor credentialing.

  • Work flexible hours (based on business needs to includenon-standard work hours,overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations).

  • Wear all required personal protective equipment.

  • You’rea technically strong and independent professional with a consultative approach to translating complex solutions, paired withstrong communication, organizational rigor, and leadership skills that enable you to manage risk, influence others, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

The hourly pay range for this position in KSis $35.00to $54.00, plus overtime eligible.

This role also includesfield serviceincentivebonus plans,on-callpay,companyfleet/car, training, and advancement opportunitiesThe actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs,geographicallocation, and internal equity.
