The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for a Network Engineer who can work towards our strategic direction for the development across a range of platforms including; Enterprise LAN/WAN, Wireless and Gateway network solutions and infrastructure in a large scale, complex and distributed business environment.

This position is located Newcastle; NSW

Candidates must be Australian Citizens with a current NV1 Security Clearance (minimum) and the ability to obtain NV2 clearance.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement enterprise network solutions across LAN/WAN and Wireless environments
- Translate requirements into technical designs and implementation plans
- Configure and support routers, switches and network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents
- Support network migrations and upgrades with minimal impact
- Engage stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions
- Provide clear documentation and implementation guidance
- Ensure compliance with Defence security and operational standards

Skills Required

- Strong experience in network engineering (LAN/WAN/Wireless)
- Knowledge of routing and switching technologies (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, STP, LACP, QOS)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to operate in complex, high-security environments
- Network performance optimisation and traffic management

- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

- Desktop and Audio Visual Support as required.

About You

You are a skilled Network Engineer who thrives in high-security environments and enjoys delivering critical outcomes.

You bring:
- Experience in network design and implementation
- Strong understanding of secure network operations
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent desirable)
