To meet our challenges, we are looking for a Technical Business Developer - Capsules within the Health and Pharma Solutions Commercial team! This position will be located in Mumbai

Their mission?
Provide technical expertise in hard capsule technologies, with a strong focus on enhancing hard capsule performance and developing value-added applications with the customer. Ensure customer satisfaction regarding technical support by optimizing our product’s performance within the customer’s production process, including development, monitoring, and issue resolution. Identify market opportunities within the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sectors, while serving as a key liaison between Roquette’s R&D, TS&D and Sales functions.

Your experience and talents will make the difference to:

1. Technical/ Scientific Support

• Serve as the subject matter expert in hard capsule technologies, advising customers on capsule selection, performance, and product new functionalities.

• Act as a bridge between customer requirements and internal R&D stakeholders to address complex technical challenges and ensure relevant and competitive solutions.
• Conduct technical advisory visits to assist clients in optimizing the use of their filling machinery with Qualicaps capsules, providing guidance to maximize efficiency and product compatibility aiming to minimize incidents and product returns.
• Respond promptly to client-reported incidents by analyzing production processes, troubleshooting issues, and determining appropriate protocols for effective resolution.
• Prepare detailed visit and incident reports, documenting all findings and actions in the CRM system.
• Conduct new or existing capsule validation or verification trials in machine suppliers like IMA, Synthegon or MG2.
• Analyze data collected from incidents to assist in diagnosing root causes and collaborate with Production and Quality teams to implement effective corrective and preventive actions within the internal manufacturing process.

2. Market Development & Business Growth

• Identify and develop regional business opportunities in hard capsule applications across pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets.
• Attend trade shows and collaborate with global R&D teams to support innovation in capsule technologies and applications
• Partner with commercial and business development teams to expand market presence and establish strategic partnerships.

3. Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Design and deliver internal regional training programs to strengthen technical expertise in capsule technologies
• Develop/ propose seminars to ensure customer requests.

• Technical-mechanical competence
• Expertise in software systems and machine automation
• Proficient understanding of manufacturing process protocols
• Handling of precision instruments and measurement with calipers
• Geographical Mobility (within India)
• Proficient in English. Other languages will be considered an asset.
  

And also …

• Advanced degree (MSc, or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry or in an Engineering or technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or nutraceutical industry, with a strong focus on hard capsule technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in regional technical team collaborations, interacting with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and commercial).
• Experience supporting customer-facing activities, including technical consulting, troubleshooting, and solution-driven engagement.
