ING Hubs Romania offers 130 services in software development, data management, non-financial risk & compliance, audit, and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide, with the help of over 2000 high-performing engineers, risk, and operations professionals.

The Mission

The Risk Data Tribe provides correct and harmonized data for its processing and to enable the change from report-driven to data-driven, while also enabling department to manage its end-to-end data flow in a structured and standardized way.

Your day to day

In this role, you will focus on data management, collaboration , data requirements refinements , BCBS 239 activities support, data definition & mapping, data onboarding, data quality and data modelling for business related background topics. You will be actively involved in the discussions with the domains, maintenance, development and realization of current & new requirements and services. As an expert, you deliver the necessary knowledge and skills to support deliveries towards stakeholders, performing reconciliation, UAT and operational requests necessary for data delivery. Besides that, you continuously deepen and broaden your Data Quality and Data modeling knowledge and skills in your area of expertise.

• implement data governance procedures using state of the art data management practices on data deliveries products for risk area,
• analyse the data requirements and design reliable data (and meta-data) solutions in risk area,
• ensure integrated end to end data deliveries toward our programs and functions in close alignment with the data consumers/report owners of these programs and (local) data suppliers,
• support COO Risk programs with consultancy on solution design and data modelling expertise,
• communicate effectively, in which you can adapt your style and the content of your communication to the needs of others you work with. You always pay attention to the input and opinions of others,
• have a customer focus, where you build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions,
• be organizational savvy, you manoeuvre easily through complex policies, processes and people-related organizational dynamics across ING,
• look ahead, you show a strategic mindset, and you find future opportunities which you can translate into concrete strategies.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Mandatory:
• Have extensive experience in Data Management and knowledge of Data Solutions (E.g. Data Warehousing, Data Catalogue, Data Modelling, Data Lineage),
• Experience in creating reporting cockpits, dashboards, and visual performance indicators using data analytics and visualization tools to support business monitoring and decision-making.
• Have experience in credit risk domain,
• Have excellent stakeholder management skills,
• Able to proactively and independently identify problems, analyze key information and make connections, in order to bring solutions to senior management,
• are a hands-on reliable executor,
• have excellent communication skills, written and verbal in English (C1),
• familiar with Agile environment, and you know how to make it a real part of your job,
• have multicultural mind-set and a highly customer-focused outlook.
• Nice to have:
• statistical modeling experience,
• having experience working in a large (international) organization spanning multiple segments and locations, dealing with global operating models and deployment across countries and/or hubs,
• experience with banking products, processes, and services
• experience working with cloud-based data platforms and technologies in a data management or analytics context
• Education: master or bachelor’s degree (IT, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics/Business)
