Your mission

Do you have a solid technical background and enjoy working with electronics, equipment and hands-on repairs?
At Zellerfeld, we are working on the next generation of 3D printing systems, and we are looking for a Technical Assistant – Electronics & Maintenance to support the development and maintenance of our hardware infrastructure. Your work will focus on printed circuit boards (PCBs), cabling and equipment maintenance within our electronics and prototyping environment.

In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper function of our machines and electronics. This includes assembly, repair and documentation of components that are essential for the reliability and scalability of our in-house production technology.

Your profile

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on 3D printers and related technical equipment
  • Assemble and support prototyping of electronic circuit boards (SMD and THT)
  • Operate and maintain soldering stations, pick-and-place machines and reflow ovens
  • Assist in wiring and installation of cabling systems for prototypes and production setups
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including repair logs, schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Organize tools, components and workspaces in accordance with safety and quality standards
  • Use engineering tools and systems such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or CMMS platforms to support workflow and documentation

Your Profile

  • 3+ years of experience in electronics maintenance or technical support
  • Solid understanding of electronic components, wiring and PCB assembly
  • Practical experience with soldering, diagnostics and repair of electronic assemblies
  • Familiarity with electronic production tools such as reflow ovens, pick-and-place systems and soldering equipment
  • Ability to work with suppliers or cross-functional teams in a technical production environment
  • Structured working style, attention to detail and a high sense of responsibility
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; German is a plus
