Join a global organization as a Chemical Compliance Associate and help ensure that critical chemical safety and regulatory information is accurate, current, and accessible. You’ll manage Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), supplier documentation, chemical master data, and internal approval workflows while supporting compliance with applicable chemical safety regulations. Working with internal teams and external suppliers, you’ll help maintain reliable documentation that supports safe handling and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Your role

• Manage and monitor the currency of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for chemical raw materials as part of hazardous-substance management.
• Review supplier SDSs and follow up with suppliers to obtain new or updated versions within required timelines.
• Maintain a complete and up-to-date SDS library and ensure relevant documentation is properly organized and accessible.
• Inform affected departments about changes in SDSs and related occupational health and safety requirements.
• Administer SDSs for chemical semi-finished products within the Local-for-Local framework.
• Publish and maintain product SDSs on the company website, ensuring new and revised documents are uploaded accurately and on time.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of internal chemical safety documentation, including hazardous-substance lists.
• Coordinate and track SDS review and approval workflows, including follow-ups, reminders, and approval status documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant Philippine chemical legislation, Safety Data Sheet requirements, and occupational health and safety topics.
• Administer chemical master data in SAP, including the creation and maintenance of chemical-substance information.
• Perform data checks to ensure master data quality, completeness, and accuracy in line with departmental requirements.
• Work closely with Regulatory Affairs, Purchasing, Marketing, Health, Safety & Environment, and other internal teams on chemical safety and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and subsidiaries to obtain, validate, and maintain required regulatory information.
• Support compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, and internal company requirements.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• Basic understanding of chemistry principles, chemical safety, and regulatory requirements related to hazardous substances and Safety Data Sheets.
• Familiarity with chemical regulations such as EU REACH and CLP and the US Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) is an advantage.
• Experience in Safety Data Sheet management, regulatory documentation, chemical data management, or the chemical industry is preferred.
• Experience with SAP master data management or similar data management systems is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail when handling regulatory and product information.
• Proficient in written and verbal English, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, follow up on pending items, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates a careful, structured, and proactive approach, particularly when handling compliance-sensitive information.
• Scientific vocational training, such as Chemical Laboratory Assistant certification, or commercial training/experience within the chemical industry is an advantage.
