About us

The Bioinformatics for Individualized Medicine department (Head: Prof. Dr. Yang Li) at the Centre for Individualized Infection Medicine is seeking a motivated individual to join the laboratory team in Hannover.

Responsabilities

  • Performance of routine tasks such as managing consumables and providing support to staff and doctoral candidates in the laboratory
  • Independent planning and execution of biological and chemical analyses (ELISA, FACS)
  • Documentation of DNA or RNA isolation from patient samples
  • Preparation of next-generation sequencing protocols
  • Conducting stimulation experiments followed by DNA/RNA collection for subsequent external analysis (single-cell RNA-seq) or epigenetic measurements

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as a biological-technical assistant, biology laboratory technician (BTA) or comparable qualification
  • Theoretical knowledge and practical experience in molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry
  • Experience with routine laboratory tasks such as PBMC isolation, sc-RNA-seq, cell culture, and ELISA
  • Motivation and flexibility
  • Meticulous and independent working style
  • Ability to work in an international environment
