About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and accountable Technical & Compliance Assistant to join our team. This is an office-based role with regular bakery floor duties, supporting audits, compliance, and quality assurance across our production operations.

We are keen hear from candidates who have had experience in a food manufacturing environment looking to take the next step in their career and perhaps move into their first technical role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct GMP, CCP, and BRC-related audits, including mould-free shelf life monitoring.
• Log and close non-conformances, maintain document control, and update procedures.
• Support traceability exercises, mock recalls, and mass balance checks.
• Maintain and trend production and microbiological data using Microsoft tools.
• Assist with continuous improvement projects and operator competency checks.
• Collaborate with teams across the site to uphold food safety and quality standards.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Trustworthy, accountable, and able to take ownership of tasks.
• Organised with strong attention to detail; notices small mistakes.
• Positive, proactive, and works well with others.
• Willing and curious to learn, asking questions to improve knowledge.
• Competent with Microsoft Office and data management.
• Previous food manufacturing or technical experience is a bonus, but not essential.
