Bridge Specialty Groupis seeking a Technical Assistantto join our growing team in Garden City, NY!

The Technical Assistant reviews insurance applications to evaluate classify and rate individuals and groups for insurance and accept orrejectsnew and renewal applications for Property and Casualty types of coverageService andmaintainaccounts before, during and after binding.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Assists the Account Executive when underwriting or brokering risks,insuringthat all required information is obtained, proper applications are completed, quotes & binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly and accurately, state filings (where applicable) are made and taxes paidin accordance withappropriate statelaws.

  • Assists the Account Executives when reviewing,analyzingand underwriting risksubmittedby producers, rate submissions for premium and terms analyze exposures for quotes for new and renewal business, issue written indications,quotesand binders.

  • Confirm that the coding of specific required formsarecompleted and utilizedInsurethe templates are updated for processing of policies/coverage.

  • Communicate with producers, Company representatives, inspection companies, and finance companies to insureexpeditioushandling of all submission

  • Review and have letters for renewals processed.

  • Order and follow up for inspections.

  • Request Loss Runs for years written with office.

  • Follow up for suspense items on applications, subjectto;inspections, andetc.

  • Processaccordinglyall brokerage and contract endorsements.

  • Handle correspondence with company / producers with Account Executive supervisor as needed

  • Process mail received by USPS, Email, or fax.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by members of management ordeemednecessary tocompletedaboveduties.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • License General Lines

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • Minimum education high school or GED

  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar position minimum

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

  • Exceptional telephone demeanor

  • Ability tomaintaina high levelof confidentiality

Pay Range

$24 - $27 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
