SPG Wholesale LLCis a rapidly growing, and successful property and casualty insurance wholesaler and managing general agency based in Burbank, CA with branches in MA & FL. We sell exclusively to retail agencies across the country with a focus on small to mid-market E&S commercial and specialty personal lines risks.
About the Position:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent customer service skills and serve as a technical resource to a large and growing binding and brokerage team. Successful applicants will work with the in-house underwriter to request and review underwriting information for processing of endorsements, and processing bind orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide and/or assist with audits, binders/invoicing, and endorsements through managing all company correspondence in a timely manner.
Respond promptly to all requests from brokerage team, underwriters, retailers, or managers regarding account servicing issues.
Develop a professional rapport with clients and underwriters to enhance new and ongoing business relationships.
Follow departmental procedures with accuracy, efficiency, and meeting compliance standards.
Act as liaison between clients and the underwriter to manage all account documentation.
Initiate cancellation and non-renewal notices according to statutory and contractual requirements.
Maintain suspense system and follow-up for receipt of policies, endorsements, inspections reports, correspondence, claims, etc. from outside sources.
Maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry through attendance of virtual workshops, seminars, literature reviews and/or formal continuing education.
Inspections ordering.
Order renewals in company portal.
Other duties as assigned.
Interest or knowledge with Personal lines homeowner property book support.
Qualifications:
5 years’ experience with property and casualty lines of business preferred.
One year of wholesale insurance experience
High School graduate required; College courses preferred.
Must have experience and knowledge of Commercial Lines E&S products, along with some Personal Lines E&S products.
Previous work experience in the fields of insurance underwriting, customer service, with a successful track record
Positive attitude and enjoys helping others through frequent phone and email communication.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of adaptability to meet the needs of various situations.
Strong organization skills, with a high level of detail orientation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and various rating portals.
Technical Assistant experience or three years of general insurance experience
Salary Transparency:
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $21- $23 an hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
