We are currently looking for a Technical & Asset Manager, for Doha, Qatar.
Mission:
Lead six key functions covering Asset Management, GIS, Handover/Takeover, IT & OT, Innovation, and Technical Studies, ensuring the reliability, performance, digitalization, and continuous improvement of water and wastewater infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Asset Management: lifecycle optimization, asset inventory, preventive maintenance, CMMS/Maximo, reliability, RCM/FMECA and RCA.
GIS: management of sewer, stormwater, groundwater and TSE network data, mapping, operational information and maintenance support.
Handover/Takeover: technical and operational readiness of new facilities, commissioning, documentation, training, spare parts, Maximo and HSE preparation.
IT & OT: management of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, SCADA, PLC/RTU, automation, telemetry and instrumentation.
Innovation: digital transformation, smart asset management, predictive maintenance, AI, remote monitoring, energy efficiency, climate resilience and sustainability.
Technical Studies: engineering studies, improvement proposals, technical-commercial offers, operational defect resolution and studies for new facilities.
Leadership: manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, surveyors, maintenance teams and SAUR Group technical resources.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental or related field); Master's degree is an advantage.
Minimum 10–15 years of experience in asset management, infrastructure operations, or utilities (water/wastewater sector preferred), in the water or wastewater fields.
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, maintenance, GIS, IT/OT, and technical projects.
Strong knowledge of Asset Management principles, lifecycle planning, reliability engineering (RCM, FMECA, RCA), and preventive maintenance strategies.
Good understanding of GIS systems and spatial asset management.
Experience in commissioning, handover/takeover of infrastructure assets, and technical documentation management.
Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English. Arabic fluency is an advantage
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
