Job Description

As a Team Lead Technical Artist, you will lead and mentor the Technical Art team while driving the implementation and quality of real-time visuals in Unity. You will bridge art, engineering, and product to deliver polished, performant, and scalable game features.

You will partner closely with the Art Director, Technical Directors, and product teams to define the technical-artistic vision, build highly efficient workflows, and ensure that visuals are both technically sound and perfectly aligned with gameplay and business goals.

*We work on site- not hybrid (located in Tel-Aviv)*

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and foster the professional growth of the Technical Art team, conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Tech-Art Pipeline & Architecture Design: Architect, design, and optimize production pipelines and custom tools to streamline workflows across all disciplines (Art, Dev, Product).
  • Asset Integration & Review: Oversee and implement creative assets (art and visual effects) into the game while ensuring strict quality and performance standards through code and asset reviews.
  • Task & Resource Management: Prioritize department tasks, manage sprint planning, and allocate resources effectively to meet project milestones.
  • Tech-Art Innovation: Investigate and prototype new techniques, tools, and industry best practices to continually leverage our technology and push visual boundaries.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience as a Tech Artist in the gaming industry, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
  • Advanced technological adaptability: Strong ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and evolve complex, fast-changing workflows and architectures.
  • Deep technical knowledge of Unity: Proven work experience with Unity UI, Timeline, proper hierarchy design, and advanced editor tooling.
  • Strong expertise in Unity Asset Bundles / Addressables: In-depth knowledge of asset management, loading strategies, and memory optimization.
  • Real-Time Systems & Performance: Excellent understanding of real-time rendering, hardware performance constraints, 2D animation systems, and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Solid Coding Skills: Strong scripting skills with a proven track record in C# (highly preferred).
  • Soft Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to bridge the gap and mediate between artistic and highly technical teams.
  • Passion for games.
