Job Description
Guidewire Architect Role Description We are looking for a seasoned Guidewire Architect to design, govern, and deliver enterprise-grade Guidewire solutions for our insurance carrier clients. This is a senior individual contributor and technical leadership role at the intersection of deep Guidewire platform engineering, P&C insurance domain expertise, and solution architecture. You will serve as the technical backbone across the full engagement lifecycle, from pre-sales architecture and solutioning through implementation governance, integration design, and client enablement. You will also play a critical role in building Hexaware’s internal IP: reusable components, integration accelerators, and architectural patterns that differentiate our practice. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Design ● Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementations across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter ● Design scalable integration architectures using Guidewire Integration Framework (GIF), REST/SOAP APIs, messaging middleware (MuleSoft, IBM MQ, Kafka), and cloud-native patterns ● Produce authoritative architecture artifacts: solution design documents, data flow diagrams, entity relationship models, integration specifications, and decision logs ● Define and enforce coding standards, configuration governance, and PCF/Digital Portal architecture guidelines across delivery teams ● Evaluate build vs. buy decisions, third-party marketplace integrations (e.g., Verisk, LexisNexis, ISO), and cloud deployment topology on Guidewire Cloud Platform (GCP) Technical Delivery Leadership ● Serve as the technical authority on engagements — conducting architecture reviews, sprint demos, code walk-throughs, and configuration quality audits ● Guide and mentor teams of Guidewire developers and configuration engineers on GOSU scripting, data model extensions, PCF screen development, and workflow design
