Technical Architect – IBM Maximo

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Start Date: 19 August 2026
Duration: 6 months
Experience: 4–6 years
Languages: Dutch and English – essential

We are looking for a Technical Architect with strong IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) expertise to lead the technical design, development, implementation, and support of IBM Maximo EAM solutions.

The consultant will work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions and will be involved throughout the implementation lifecycle, including testing, upgrades, data migration, and go-live support.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the technical design and development of IBM Maximo EAM / Maximo Application Suite solutions.

  • Translate functional and business requirements into detailed technical specifications.

  • Develop and customize Maximo solutions using Java, XML, and SQL

  • Support Maximo implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the Maximo environment.

  • Support data migration activities and ensure data quality and integrity.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.

  • Participate in system testing, defect resolution, and go-live activities.

  • Work closely with functional consultants, developers, and other technical stakeholders.

  • Design complex SQL queries and reports where required.

  • Provide ongoing technical support and improvements for the Maximo environment.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • 4–6 years of relevant technical experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS)

  • Proven experience with IBM Maximo implementations and upgrades

  • Strong development experience with:
    • Java
    • XML
    • SQL / Oracle SQL

  • Experience with Maximo technical development and configuration

  • Experience with technical troubleshooting and production support.

  • Experience supporting data migration activities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent Dutch and English communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills


  • Experience with Maximo Anywhere or Maximo Mobile

  • Experience with IBM MAS cloud-hosted environments

  • Exposure to AWS or Microsoft Azure

  • Experience with BIRT / BI Publisher and report development.

  • Ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • IBM Certified Deployment Professional – Maximo Application Suite certification.

  • Experience within the utilities industry
