Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced MDM Technical Architect / MDM Technical Lead to support the evaluation, selection, architecture, and implementation planning of an enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) platform. The consultant will work closely with Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, SAP teams, and business stakeholders to: • Assess current-state master data landscape • Drive MDM tool evaluation and fit-gap analysis • Conduct architecture and design workshops • Develop target-state MDM architecture • Recommend implementation approach, governance model, and integration patterns • Support vendor selection and implementation planning This is a hands-on and advisory / architecture role requiring practical implementation experience across multiple MDM platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Assess current-state MDM landscape (custom master, SAP ECC / S4/HANA, vendor master, CFIN, product / material etc.). Define: o Business and technical requirements o Data domains (customer, vendor, material, etc.) o Governance and stewardship model o Align MDM strategy with EDO (Enterprise Data Office) and data governance initiatives. • Lead evaluation of enterprise MDM platforms including SAP MDG, Semarchy, Stibo STEP, Syncari, Reltio etc. o Define functional and technical evaluation criteria o Lead fit-gap analysis across business and IT stakeholders o Provide tool recommendations based on business requirements, architecture fit, scalability, governance, and total cost of ownership

Skill Requirements

12–15+ years of overall experience in Data Architecture, MDM, or Enterprise Data Platforms

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on MDM experience
• Minimum 2 full-cycle MDM implementations
• Proven experience in MDM tool evaluation and selection initiatives

Must have experience in building out processes for Data Quality, Data Governance and Data Stewardship.

• Strong hands-on experience in developing solutions for MDM data operational activities, Hierarchy management, parent/child account relationship.
• SAP ERP implementation/integration experience. Expertise in integrating MDM solution with SAP R/3 or SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA.
• Expertise in manufactured products, bills of material, customer and vendor master data.
• Should have architected MDM end to end implementation covering data extraction, profiling, cleansing, initial data load, centralized creation, and integration with consuming system.
• Strong analytical abilities and creative problem solving; reliability within a cooperative team environment.
• Work independently with general direction and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organization and prioritization skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
