Job Description

As a Technical and Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our IT landscape. You will be responsible for defining, maintaining and enforcing technical and security standards across the organization and advising IT projects throughout their remediation.

You will act as a gatekeeper to ensure architectural consistency, avoid technology sprawl, and promote simplicity, stability, manageability, cost-efficiency, and security.

This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to lead stakeholders toward consensus, and a passion for continuous learning in a fast-evolving cloud environment.

As a member of the Technical Architecture team your responsibilities are:

Technical Standards & Governance

  • Define, document, and maintain IT technical standards, reference architectures, and design patterns.
  • Participate in architecture review boards and contribute to governance processes.
  • Create technical controls to enforce or verify that the standards are applied

Remediation Management

  • Manage remediation with project teams
  • Manage exceptions, with the help of the Security Operations team.
  • Provide high level dashboard on compliance, and communicate on it
  • Provide hands-on support in case of critical troubleshooting
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in cloud computing.
  • Evaluate new tools and platforms for potential adoption in SCOR Technology Portfolio. Help include these technologies in SCOR CI/CD pipelines.

  • Contribute to the evolution of the company’s cloud strategy and digital transformation roadmap.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in cloud computing.
  • Evaluate new tools and platforms for potential adoption in SCOR Technology Portfolio. Help include these technologies in SCOR CI/CD pipelines.

  • Contribute to the evolution of the company’s cloud strategy and digital transformation roadmap.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical and Security architecture, with a strong focus on cloud-based solutions.
  • Fluent in English; basics in French is a plus.
  • Experience in the reinsurance, insurance or other financial industry is a plus
  • Strong experience in Public Cloud platforms, especially Azure. Alicloud is a plus.
  • Strong experience in Operational Risk evaluation (security, manageability, availability)
  • Strong experience in Technical and Security controls implementation (Azure policies, CSPM platforms, …).
  • Experience in architectural principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Experience on CI/CD platforms (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Experience in scripting in any modern language (Powershell, az cli, APIs)
  • Experience in Agile Methods
  • Collaborate with IT production, cybersecurity, network, and application teams to ensure cohesive and secure controls
  • Create and deliver documentation and presentations to support decision-making and knowledge sharing.
  • Willingness to adapt and learn in a dynamic technology environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the reinsurance, insurance or other financial industry is a plus

Education

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
