Brief Overview of Position

The Audio/Visual Collaboration Engineer is part of an industry leading IT team working in a fast-paced environment at Texas Capital Bank. Working under the general guidance of the Manager, this individual will be responsible for engineering, design, architecture, day-to-day tasks support, assisting in voice, collaboration and video conferencing systems configuration, administration, and its operation. As well as completing preventative maintenance checks, diagnosis, and repair.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.

• Ability to support and troubleshoot live events (Town Halls, Fireside Chats, etc.) quickly resolving or finding a work around.

• This position is also responsible for ensuring the real time collaboration, voice, video conferencing systems from Cloud and Managed Services providers available to Texas Capital Bank end users

• Provide Tier 3 level support of various collaboration, voice, video systems at TCB

• Makes recommendations in engineering, architecture, configuration, hardware, software and design elements of TCB technologies

• Knowledge of programming/configuration of services being installed by third party A/V integrator

• Ability to manage proposals, including coordination of installers, and tracking of time and materials

• Ability to create a Bill of Material, drawings, and assist with estimated time frame for installation

• Serve as point of contact with A/V service providers, vendors, and internal A/V escalation support

• Utilize network performance monitoring tools to isolate root cause issues (Cisco RM)

• Work in collaboration with our IT network engineers to resolve hardware, software, or other system problems, and replace defective components working with vendors and managed service providers

• Remediation of A/V hardware to meet or exceed security vulnerability requirements set by internal IT Security team

• Commissioning new conference rooms and on-site training with local office staff when installation is completed

• Other duties as assigned by management

Required

• Required bachelor’s level college degree related to the AV field or 5 +years of relevant experience as follows

• 5 +years of experience installing, configuring, and maintaining professional A/V equipment (such as video switchers and extenders, amplifiers, speakers, control systems, and microphones) from companies like Extron, QSC, AMX, Shure, Crestron, Biamp, Cisco, etc.

• Required strong knowledge of UCC concepts, products, technologies, and solutions including VoIP, messaging, H.323, SIP, IP communications and protocols including TCP, UDP, RTP, SCCP, MGCP, as well as presence

• Required technical expertise in design, configuration and troubleshooting of collaboration technologies

• Experience installing and troubleshooting AV and IT related infrastructure (cabling, connectors, rack assemblies, etc.)

• Required ability to read and comprehend AV system design diagrams, specifications and technical manuals

• Experience with managing Cloud based InterOp solutions (Cisco InterOp, Zoom Room, MTR).

• Required knowledge of TEAMS, Cisco WebEx, and Zoom collaboration applications

• Required familiarity with codecs, content and video display units, microphones

• Experience with tabletop cable terminations, mounting speakers, pulling cables, mounting flat panel displays

• End user support for all Unified Communications - collaborative applications, video, VoIP telephone services

• Research new products to remain current on technology solutions

• Ability to lift, push, carry up to 40lbs and climb ladders 10 tall

• Ability to work long hours on your feet

• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends.

• Travel 15%

• Ability to draw conclusions and make independent decisions with limited information.

• Ability to respond to common inquiries from stakeholders, vendors, facilities etc.

• Candidates must be self-motivated, resourceful, and problem solvers

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Bluebeam, and/ or Visio, creating AV system design diagrams

• Crestron, QSys, Shure, Clickshare, Brightsign, Cisco VTC’s, or similar programming experience/certifications/install experience.

• InfoComm CTS-I certification preferred

• Cisco CCNA Collaboration Certification.
