This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

Duties consist of supporting the laboratory manager and other members in the Topp Lab at Michigan State University. Tasks will primarily occur in a field setting and include greenhouse gas measurements and analysis, maintenance and monitoring of research plots, soil sampling, root washing, scanning and image analysis, and plant tissue grinding.

Desired Qualifications

Applicant must have a bachelor’s in science degree and must be licensed to drive in the United States.
