Telent are now looking for a SCIDA Technical Advisor to support the SCIDA team following the recent transition of the RAF SCIDA programme. This hybrid role will see you acting as a trusted engineering Authority for RAF Digital - ensuring CIS infrastructure is designed, installed and managed in line with MOD standards. If you enjoy solving complex technical problems, influencing multi‑stakeholder projects and safeguarding the integrity of critical Defence systems, this is an impactful and rewarding position.
SCIDA is a Ministry of Defence (MOD) mandated function that provides assurance for the design, installation, and ongoing compliance of ICT infrastructure across MOD sites. Its purpose is to ensure installations meet rigorous security, safety, and engineering standards, supporting resilience and effective configuration and change management within Defence environments.
In this role, you will ensure Telent delivers Technical Advisor services for RAF Digital, acting as a partner to Air CySC CIS Infrastructure Change Management throughout the project lifecycle. You will verify CIS requirements, ensure contractor designs comply with the CIS Specification, and oversee key processes such as NSSR submissions and ECR governance. You will also be the focal point for interpreting and enforcing MOD engineering standards including JSP 453, JSP 440 and SDIP‑29.
This SCIDA Technical Advisor role will see you travel to various RAF sites across the Central and Midlands region, with travel to other RAF sites across the UK where needed – a full UK driving license and flexibility to travel is required.
