Manage and improve systems, databases, workflows, and automation processes.
Support the delivery of critical water supply, wastewater, and stormwater services across the district.
Investigate and research information to support operational and asset management decisions.
Coordinate compliance programmes and customer communications.

Contribute to customer-focused information and digital content.
Work closely with technical specialists while building your own knowledge of the water services industry.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new systems, and finding better ways of working.
You will bring:
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Confidence using technology and business systems.
Well-developed communication and relationship-building skills.
A collaborative and customer-focused approach.
Previous experience in local government, infrastructure, utilities, or compliance administration is an advantage, but not essential. Candidates from other backgrounds with relevant skills and a commitment to learning are also encouraged to apply.
Why Join Us?
At Waimakariri District Council, we're committed to making Waimakariri a great place to be. We value innovation, collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement, and we're proud of the positive impact our people have on the communities we serve.
In return, you'll enjoy:
Meaningful work that supports essential community services.
A supportive and collaborative team environment.
