Job Description

Accounting Policy Manager will serve as a key resource for assisting Director of Accounting Policy with technical accounting issues, including interpretation and application of accounting principles and standards. The role will involve reviewing complex transactions, assisting with developing accounting policies, and providing guidance to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Review purchase price allocation models, legal agreements, and due diligence materials for business combinations
  • Assist in providing accounting guidance during deal structuring
  • Research technical accounting topics on key subjects like business combinations, revenue recognition, lease accounting, compensation, etc. under US GAAP and IFRS
  • Assist with developing and maintaining company’s accounting policies to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Partner with controllers to assist with the end-to-end implementation of accounting policies and best practices
  • Liase with outside auditors on accounting topics and the adoption of new standards
  • Assist with ensuring compliance to all aspects of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) for relevant processes
  • Proactively monitor, review, research and interpret GAAP and analyze emerging accounting pronouncements for policy/ financial statement implications
