Technical Accounting Analyst I

Bangalore, India

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for reinsurance operations? Do you thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where accuracy and ownership drive results? If so, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact at the heart of global reinsurance operations!

About the Role

As a Technical Accounting Analyst I, you will be a key player in our P&C Business Operations Team in EMEA, taking ownership of end-to-end reinsurance account management. You will work at the intersection of finance, operations, and client service — ensuring contractual fulfillment, financial accuracy, and exceptional service delivery for an assigned portfolio of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your expertise in reinsurance while collaborating with diverse teams across functions and regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reinsurance accounts and claims end-to-end, ensuring full contractual fulfillment in line with established policies and processes

  • Process client reinsurance accounts including premiums, claims, and brokerage, consistently meeting deliverables and quality standards

  • Ensure financial transactions and payments adhere to established processes, guidelines, quality management frameworks, and key controls

  • Drive timely collection of funds (Accounts Receivable) and maintain accurate tracking of financials within your assigned portfolio

  • Apply a thorough understanding of reinsurance contractual conditions to ensure compliance and accuracy across all account activities

  • Collaborate across teams, functions, and regions to support the evolving requirements of our clients and business partners

  • Maintain professional and high-quality correspondence with clients and cedants, adhering to process guidelines and upholding service excellence standards

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and client service delivery

About the Team

We are the P&C Business Operations Team in EMEA — a dynamic, agile, and client-focused group dedicated to delivering seamless reinsurance operations. Our team is responsible for the end-to-end management of reinsurance accounts and claims, ensuring contractual fulfillment and financial accuracy across a diverse portfolio of clients. We work collaboratively across functions and regions, partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive operational excellence and exceptional client service.

About You

You are a motivated and detail-driven professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You bring a strong sense of ownership to everything you do, and you thrive in an environment that values accuracy, collaboration, and continuous learning. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating professionally with clients, and working across diverse teams to achieve shared goals.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Work experience — 0 to 3 years of experience in reinsurance, insurance, finance, or a related field; recent graduates with relevant academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply

  • Reinsurance or insurance accounting knowledge — solid understanding of reinsurance contractual conditions, premiums, claims, and brokerage processing

  • Financial transaction management — demonstrated experience in processing and reconciling financial transactions, with a strong focus on accuracy and adherence to controls and quality frameworks

  • Accounts Receivable management — proven ability to monitor, track, and drive timely collection of funds within an assigned portfolio

  • Language skills — fluent or advanced in the comprehension and use of English (written, spoken, and listening); German language proficiency at B1 level or higher (certified) is required

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience working in a multinational or cross-functional environment, collaborating across regions and teams

  • Familiarity with reinsurance systems and tools used in account and claims management

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for financial tracking and reporting

  • A proactive, agile approach to work with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
