Technical Account Manager, Sweet & Beverage

We're looking for a technically minded professional with a scientific background—preferably in food science, chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, or a related field—who has experience working directly with customers and is interested in building a career in technical sales. Whether your background is in applications, R&D, product development, quality, or another technical discipline, this role gives you the opportunity to apply your expertise in a highly visible, customer-facing position.

What you’ll do:

• As a Technical Account Manager, you will develop and strengthen customer partnerships within the sweet and beverage market while supporting the growth of our differentiated, value-added flavor portfolio with leading customers across the US.
• You will work closely with our commercial team to develop tailored technical solutions for a diverse customer base. You'll have access to internal technical and commercial resources designed to help you build your knowledge, relationships, and success.
• You will serve as a technical resource for Sensient's products, helping customers understand product capabilities, applications, and value.
• You will collaborate with consultants, product development partners, development houses, and start-up companies to introduce Sensient technologies and position our products as solutions to their technical and commercial needs.
• A strategic, results-oriented mindset with an interest in developing new business and growing customer relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical, value-added solutions and establish credibility with key customer decision-makers.
• A passion for solving customer challenges, supporting innovation, and building a successful career at the intersection of technical expertise and commercial growth.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant scientific discipline, with 5+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Experience with food ingredients and food or beverage product development, supported by a strong technical foundation.

About Sensient Flavors:

Sensient Flavors provides innovative, global taste solutions and specialized flavor delivery systems that help bring food and beverage products to life. Our advanced technologies are built around our commitment to being dynamic, innovative, and focused on delivering meaningful value to customer applications.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.

RELOCATION: We are unable to offer relocation assistance. The successful candidate will be expected to work at Hoffman Estates, IL and must reside in the area or be willing to commute.
