TECHNICAL ACCOUNT MANAGER — EAST RAND, GAUTENG

A well-established company in the industrial chemicals and coatings sector is looking for a driven and experienced Technical Account Manager to join their high-performing sales team on the East Rand.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded sales professional who thrives on building strong client relationships, driving new business, and becoming a trusted advisor to customers in the metal, fabrication, and industrial space.

Key responsibilities:

• 
  Manage and grow an existing customer base
• 
  Drive new business development with new-to-company clients
• 
  Visit cadence of 20 existing and 5 new business development customers per week (25 total)
• 
  Conduct chemical tank testing bi-weekly
• 
  Drive business development at both existing and new customers
• 
  Quickly learn and become a trusted product advisor
• 
  Complete CRM after every client visit
• 
  Submit accurate weekly sales reports timeously

Requirements

• 
  Degree in BCom, Chemistry BSc or BTech
• 
  Minimum 5 years industrial sales experience
• 
  Bilingual — English and Afrikaans
• 
  Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence
• 
  Computer literate — MS Office
• 
  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting client relationships
• 
  Reliable, determined, and a high performer
