Techinical Service Engineer – Bogota, Colombia

Perform field service activities including installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades, technical support, and service training for customers and distributors in Colombia and other Spanish-speaking LATAM regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of service order tasks in our system in compliance with the current SLA policy

• Monitor technical customer complaints, escalate issues to the appropriate stakeholders, and follow up until closure

• Create technical service quotations and manage spare parts orders

• Monitor spare parts safety stock levels and consumption, and prepare and submit replenishment orders with the Import department

• Ensure organization and maintenance of the service workshop following 5S principles

• Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, strong collaboration, cooperation, and sense of ownership, while considering cross-departmental input

• Support the implementation and availability of the HLM service contracts portfolio, including new packages and differentiated contract options promoted by the manager

• Follow and apply SOPs for the Technical Service department based on the company’s business model

• Utilize the technical software management system to manage and track service calls

• Monitor service operation performance indicators, record service documentation, and ensure timely usage and uploading of all relevant data

• Ensure continuous improvement of service procedures in collaboration with the Quality department

Skills and Experience

• Field service activity experience

• Experience with medical devices desirable

• Knowledge and experience with extracorporeal circulation machines desirable

• Travel required: approximately 75%

• Field-based / on-site position

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering field

• Advanced spoken and written English – mandatory
