THE JOB:
The primary responsibility of the Surveillance Technician II is to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize surveillance technology systems, including CCTV, video management systems, recording platforms, storage infrastructure, and access control systems. This position serves as a technical resource for surveillance operations and assists with complex installations, system upgrades, troubleshooting efforts, and infrastructure projects. The Surveillance Technician II contributes to a safe and secure gaming environment by ensuring surveillance systems remain reliable, compliant, and operational.

THE STARTING RATE:
$38.88 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Install, program, and maintain the entirety of the CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) systems. Including but not limited to: Analog/Digital Video Matrix, Network Recording solutions NVR’s, and Cameras.

  • Install, program, and maintain Access control and video analytic systems

  • Make sure all systems are functioning and all repairs are being made in a timely manner to meet regulations.

  • Preventive maintenance of all CCTV equipment including the cleaning and adjustment of cameras as needed.

  • Implement all necessary changes to the approved digital systems to meet regulators & MGM Resorts International requirements.

  • Drive/Operate company vehicles to complete Surveillance work on and off property (Scissor lift, Boom lift, ladders etc.)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • High school or GED required

  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience working with Digital Network Video Recorder (DNVR) enterprise systems, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems, and access control systems.

  • Experience with IP-based surveillance systems, network video recorders, and enterprise storage solutions.

  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, switches, fiber optic infrastructure, and network troubleshooting.

  • Experience troubleshooting surveillance hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and assist with training less experienced technicians.

  • Must be able to work various shift including evenings, weekends and holidays.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in gaming, casino surveillance, or highly regulated environments.

  • Networking certifications such as Network+, CCNA, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience supporting large-scale surveillance infrastructure and capital projects.
