In this role, you'll:


Working as part of a team delivering technology enabled integration and planning across Transport for NSW, you will help shape the future of mobility for a wide range of communities across NSW.


This permanent role will see you identify, develop and mature a forward pipeline of Road Technology initiatives that enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency and maximise the value of Transport’s significant infrastructure investments.


You will focus may include Traffic Light Systems, Managed Motorways, Intelligent Transport systems (ITS), Future Mobility, SCATS, Public Transport Technology, Transport Technology & information Systems, Emerging Transport Technologies, Connected & Automated Vehicles,

Digital Twins, Road Asset & User Data.


You will work across programs, projects and partners to turn ideas into actionable opportunities forming the foundation for seed funding, strategic business cases and delivery pathways.


You will lead the discovery of new ways to apply technology, uncover efficiencies, and harness innovation in a complex, multi stakeholder transport environment.


From scanning emerging funding streams to shaping early-stage proposals, your work will influence how technology is embedded across one of Australia’s largest infrastructure portfolios.


This is a permanent Hybrid role with five days a month to be spent at Parramatta Office and a further five days to be spent at either the Parramatta office, or another TfNSW location

About you


You’re recognised as a credible advisor and collaborative influencer, skilled at communicating complex ideas clearly, and experienced in scanning for opportunities, evaluating feasibility, shaping proposals and building productive relationships across government, industry and research partners.


Demonstrated experience in developing and managing technology projects or programs within a large, complex organisation, preferably in the transport or infrastructure sector.


Strong knowledge of current & emerging Road Technology & Intelligent Transport Systems trends, best practice approaches, and the application of innovative solutions to improve business and customer outcomes.


Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and leverage funding opportunities, with experience influencing investment decisions and integrating technology into broader project scopes.


Tertiary qualifications in related discipline and/or relevant industry experience
