Job Title: Principle Technical Professional

Job Location: 3504 W Admiral Doyle Dr, New Iberia, LA 70560

Duties:

Responsibilities include: Provides Completion, Products & Services (CPS) job design, well support, and post job analysis to customers in the Gulf of America. Provides technical and operational expertise to external customers in a professional manner. Develops and maintains personal relationships with the technical customer base. Assignments require sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional. With minimal supervision, independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations. Requires the use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of the field and related disciplines. Provides technical guidance to drafters/designers and engineers and is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice. Domestic and international travel required 25% of the time.

Job Duties

Requirements: Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Principle Technical Professional related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

  1. Experience with SolidWorks to perform assembly part modeling, assembly check layouts to ensure proper space-outs, fit for assemblies and fishing dimensions and drawings for retrieval of completion tools.
  2. Experience with safety valve failsafe calculations to assess whether the valve will properly function given the well conditions.
  3. Experience with Inflow Control Valve life of well calculations to analyze if the ICV is able to function as intended through the life of the well, particularly towards the end of the life of the well where the well’s reservoir conditions may not be favorable for the ICV.
  4. Experience performing space-out calculations for completions equipment to ensure proper space-outs and fitness for assemblies.
  5. Experience with products such as Control line safety valves, Chemical Injection equipment, Feed through production packers, Permanent Downhole Pressure and Temperature Gauges and their carriers, Remotely Controlled Downhole Inflow Control Devices, Control Line spooling systems and related control systems, and Data Acquisition and monitoring devices (eg XPIO).
