Your Responsibilities

As a Tech Operations & Performance Management based in Moline, IL, Johnston, IA, Olathe, KS (no relocation provided to Olathe), or Chicago, IL, you will be responsible for standing up and leading the reporting and performance visibility structure across the Tech Commercialization organization. This individual will work closely with the Customer and Commercial Intelligence organization to curate relevant data to support reporting out on company, customer, and dealer success metrics. These reports may include but not be limited to weekly in-season reports, monthly updates, and quarterly business review content. In addition, you will:

  • Collaborate with Tech Commercial Leads, Customer and Commercial Intelligence, and Finance to curate first, second, and third order data to indicate performance and progress towards key company, customer, and dealer success metrics.
  • Anticipates and prioritizes the highest-value business questions, identifies leading indicators and intervention triggers, and delivers proactive insights that inform decisions—not just retrospective reporting.
  • Publish and manage weekly in-season, monthly, and quarterly reporting cadences, ensuring outputs combine strong quantitative rigor with clear qualitative narratives. Reports that articulates progress to plan, areas where help is needed and plans to resolve.
  • Develop and coordinate Strategic Business Unit reports and Operations Reviews, ensuring clarity of narrative, alignment of stakeholders, and visibility into performance and next steps.
  • Provide business counseling to Technology Commercialization and partnering organizations senior leadership on performance against the multi-year plan, highlighting risks, opportunities, and required actions.
  • Partner across Marketing, Production Systems, PUK, ISG, and Regions to ensure a consistent view of performance, progress, and areas requiring focus.
  • Ensures leadership and cross-functional execution team have visibility to performance to plan and establishes a consistent data informed decision-making cadence.
  • Serve as Chief of Staff to the Technology Commercialization Leadership Organization.

  • Effective communicator who translates data into clear, impactful stories.
  • Proven ability to tailor messaging for all organizational levels, communicating confidently across functions and leadership tiers.
  • Deep understanding of the Deere technology stack and its value to customers.
  • Strategic thinker skilled at synthesizing disparate data into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership; adept at influencing partners across Marketing, Production Systems, PUK, ISG, and Regions without direct authority.

What Makes You Standout

  • Background in agriculture, industrial technology, or other industries where hardware and software combine to deliver customer outcomes.
  • Internal or external consulting background, taking diverse sets of information to inform the strategy and performance to the plan.
  • Background working with data teams and/or data products and understanding of possibilities vs. limitations and ability to talk through business needs to prioritize new sources.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to translate analytical constructs from different industries to Deere to ensure a holistic perspective on the growth of our businesse

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
