Tech Lead, Software Development Engineering

About your role:

At Fiserv, we are committed to delivering innovative financial technology solutions that help businesses and consumers move money and information securely and efficiently. As a Senior Automation Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications through modern test automation practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support new client onboarding, data conversion testing, and application modernization initiatives while leveraging cutting-edge AI-assisted development tools.

We are seeking a skilled Senior .NET Developer with to lead the modernization of our legacy .NET applications. You will rewrite old .NET versions applications into the latest .NET framework using Blazor for the frontend. A key aspect of this role is leveraging cutting-edge AI coding tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or custom LLM prompts) to accelerate code conversion, refactoring, and testing. The candidate should also have hands-on experience in test automation (Playwright knowledge will be an added advantage), API testing, CI/CD integration, and quality assurance best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Modernization Rewrite and migrate legacy .NET Framework (WebForms, WCF, MVC, or WinForms) applications to the latest version of .NET.
• Frontend Development Architecture and build modern, responsive, and reusable UI components using Blazor (Server/WebAssembly).
• UI/UX Considerations Leverage component libraries like Fluent UI, MudBlazor or Radzen for productivity and responsive UI.
• AI Tool Integration Use AI coding assistants to speed up boilerplate generation, code translation, and legacy pattern refactoring. Should able to build Test Agents for automation.
• Architecture & Clean Code Design modern Web APIs, microservices, or clean monolithic architectures to replace tightly coupled legacy logic.
• Testing & Quality Assurance Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright Should build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web applications and Mainframe.

Technical Requirements Core .NET Stack

• Frameworks Strong experience with legacy .NET Framework (4.x) and deep expertise in latest .NET (9/10+).
• Blazor Ecosystem Proven experience building production-ready Blazor Server or Blazor WebAssembly applications.
• Backend Expert knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Core Web API, Dependency Injection, and LINQ.
• Data Layer Deep understanding of Entity Framework Core (EF Core) and SQL Server.

AI & Modern Tooling

• AI-Assisted Coding Hands-on experience using tools like GitHub Copilot, Visul Studios, Cursor, ChatGPT, or Claude for prompt engineering, debugging, and code explanation.
• DevOps Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), and cloud deployment.
