Job Description

Accountabilities:

The Tech Lead will be responsible for leading technical initiatives, developing robust applications, and supporting the engineering team through best practices, architectural decisions, and continuous improvement. This role requires a strong combination of coding expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking.

• Develop and evolve applications using PHP, Laravel, and React.
• Provide technical leadership to the development team and support less experienced professionals.
• Define and maintain architecture, quality, security, and development standards.
• Conduct code reviews and support technical decision-making processes.
• Design, develop, and integrate APIs, services, and web applications.
• Identify technical debt, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with product, design, and infrastructure teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Promote best practices in software engineering, scalability, performance, and security.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, or similar solutions to accelerate delivery while maintaining technical quality and responsibility.
• Review and validate code quality, including solutions created with AI support.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has extensive software development experience, strong technical leadership capabilities, and a track record of building scalable applications. This professional should be comfortable making architectural decisions, mentoring developers, and working in a collaborative environment.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development.
• At least 1 year of experience providing technical leadership to developers.
• Strong experience with PHP 8+ and Laravel.
• Strong experience with React and Next.js.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and knowledge of MySQL or MariaDB.
• Experience with application architecture, data modeling, and ORMs.
• Ability to define technical standards and guide engineering decisions.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices.
• Experience with Redis, caching strategies, queues, and asynchronous processing.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and application security practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and software quality practices.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS or GCP.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as Claude, Codex, or similar platforms.
• Ability to evaluate and ensure the quality of AI-assisted code.
• Hands-on profile with autonomy, ownership, and delivery focus.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Experience with Node.js.
• Knowledge of TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and GraphQL.
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Knowledge of microservices, serverless architecture, and Docker.
• Experience with headless CMS platforms such as WordPress or similar solutions.
• Experience working in education or healthcare technology environments.
