Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in backend software development and system architecture.
• 2 years of experience directly managing a team of software engineers, including performance evaluations, career growth, and project delivery.
• Experience coding in C++ and Java.
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining large-scale machine learning models or high-throughput data pipelines in production.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in Ads Bidding or Ads Quality architectures.
• Experience developing simulation engines, pricing elasticity models, causal inference, or counterfactual decision-support systems.
• Experience leading initiatives from early-stage to scale, standing up technical infrastructure from scratch, and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Advanced SQL/big data analytics background with expertise in offline evaluation metrics and production A/B testing.
• Deep expertise in C++ system optimization, distributed memory management, and high-throughput/low-latency batch and stream pipelines.

As Tech Lead Manager, you'll lead a team building core pricing insights and a decision simulation engine that drives growth for businesses of all sizes, an early-stage project with broad future potential.

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize distributed, high-performance in-memory pipeline processing, maintaining a low-latency compute footprint.
• Lead modeling evolution for pricing elasticity, conversion value, and profit models; expand architectures to support counterfactual business simulations for SMB decision-making.
• Interface with Google Ads auction pipelines, inference stacks, and bidding mechanics to optimize pValue and ad rank.
• Own technical oversight for first-party Google Channel integrations (e.g., Shopify Admin APIs, theme architectures, token workflows).
• Set design standards, drive code reviews, mentor engineers, and lead the project from early stage to scale, driving long-term roadmap/OKRs, cross-functional partnership (Merchant Shopping, Research, Ads Bidding, gTech, Sales), and a strong culture of engineering excellence.
