Job Description

Join Scania Ventures & New Business

Scania Ventures & New Business builds new digital ventures that extend Scania’s role in the transport ecosystem. The Circular Parts Platform is one of these ventures — a digital platform connecting heavy truck workshops and vehicle dismantling companies to enable the reuse of high-quality spare parts through secure, scalable, and data-driven solutions.

We are now looking for a Tech Lead to take ownership of the technical direction and product delivery of this venture. You will be part of the core venture leadership team, working closely with the Venture Lead (Managing Director), Venture Business Lead, and Finance Lead.

Your Mission

As Tech Lead, you are accountable for product delivery, technical integrity, scalability, and reliability of the Circular Parts Platform. You ensure that business and product ambitions are translated into robust, secure, and maintainable solutions.

You will work in close partnership with the Venture Growth and Commercial Business Lead to align product priorities with technical feasibility, and with the Venture Finance Lead to ensure cost efficiency, scalability, and compliance. Together with the Venture Lead, you shape the long-term technical strategy of the venture.

Key Responsibilities
• Define and own the platform’s technical architecture, standards, and long-term technical roadmap. Collaborate with the Venture Growth and Commercial Business Lead to create and maintain the product roadmap and make feature prioritizations.
• Own the product backlog and lead end-to-end product and technology delivery, from MVP to scalable production platform.
• Ensure the platform meets requirements for security, reliability, performance, and compliance.
• Partner with the Venture Finance Lead on cost structures, scalability considerations, and investment decisions.
• Build and lead a high-performing technical team, including internal and external contributors.
• Establish AI-driven and agile ways of working, engineering standards, and quality practices.
• Act as the primary technical representative in internal reviews and external partner discussions.
• As a member of the management team of the venture, shape the venture’s overall success, actively taking part in decision-making

Who You Are

You are a senior technical leader who combines strong engineering expertise with a pragmatic, product and business-oriented mindset. You thrive in venture environments where clarity must be created, and decisions balance speed, quality, and long-term sustainability.

Your Background
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering
• 2+ years of experience in technical leadership roles with end-to-end product delivery responsibilities
• Proven experience architecting and delivering cloud-native, scalable digital platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern architectures, APIs, data platforms, and integrations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments.
• Familiarity with marketplace or multi-stakeholder platforms is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English; Swedish proficiency is an advantage.

Your Personal Traits
• Structured, analytical, and quality-driven.
• Comfortable in making architectural and delivery trade-offs.
• Collaborative leader who communicates clearly across business and technology domains.
• Curious, pragmatic, and motivated by building sustainable digital solutions.
• Strong product-thinking mindset and ability to empathize with customer needs

Why Join Us

• Take a leading role in building a new digital venture from the ground up.
• Be part of the core leadership team shaping a new digital venture within Scania’s innovation ecosystem.
• Influence product, architecture, and delivery decisions from day one.
• Combine startup agility with Scania’s industrial scale and long-term vision.
• Contribute directly to circularity and sustainability in the transport industry.
