Tech Lead – Performance Engineering & Platform Reliability

The Tech Lead is responsible for leading a cross-functional engineering team to deliver high-performing, scalable, and reliable systems. This role provides technical leadership across software development, platform reliability, cloud-native architectures, observability, and performance engineering, ensuring alignment with business goals and Agile delivery practices.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise, particularly in C#/.NET and Golang, with experience designing and operating distributed systems in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture

Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on system design, architecture, and development best practices.
Define and validate technical solutions considering scalability, reliability, maintainability, and performance.
Lead technical decision-making and support the resolution of complex production and platform issues.
Promote engineering excellence through clean code practices, design patterns, code reviews, and architectural standards.
Drive the adoption of modern architectures, including microservices and cloud-native solutions.

Performance Engineering & Platform Reliability

Establish and evolve performance engineering practices to proactively identify system bottlenecks and optimize scalability.
Ensure systems meet defined performance SLAs, KPIs, and reliability objectives.
Support the implementation of load testing, monitoring, and observability practices across the software lifecycle.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve application performance and operational stability.

Cloud, Infrastructure & CI/CD

Guide the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation practices.
Support cloud-native deployments and containerized environments.
Collaborate with platform and operations teams to ensure resilient, scalable, and secure environments.
Promote DevOps and automation practices across the engineering organization.

Agile Delivery & Team Development

Partner with Scrum Masters, TPMs, Product Managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
Establish KPIs, dashboards, and continuous improvement processes.
Mentor engineers and foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

Strong software development experience with:
C# / .NET
Golang
Experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and distributed systems.
Experience working with at least one major cloud platform:
Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience working with containerized environments and Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, GKE, or similar).
Strong troubleshooting, system design, and technical leadership capabilities.

Leadership Skills

Experience leading engineering teams in Agile environments.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence.

Nice to Have

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
Datadog.
Splunk.
JMeter.
Advanced performance testing and performance engineering frameworks.
Distributed tracing and observability platforms.
Test automation platforms and emulator environments.
