Job Description

About us

Log my Care is the platform for next-generation care providers. We’re built for forward-thinking care teams who want to move beyond outdated systems and deliver the very best person-led care. Our mission is to enable providers to deliver proactive care—helping teams anticipate needs, prevent issues before they arise, and give people the best chance at healthier, happier lives. Outdated, clunky software wastes time and holds care back.

We’re building the antidote: intuitive, powerful tools that save hours on admin, unlock smarter insights, and raise the standard of care every day. That’s why over 2,000 providers across the UK choose Log my Care to deliver safer, smarter, more proactive care that transforms lives.

The role

We're looking for a Tech Lead to join our Care Management product squad, responsible for our leading product and driving it forward. You'll be focused on helping care teams deliver person-led, person-centred care to improve daily experiences and outcomes for the over 25K supported people on Log my Care.

As Tech Lead, you'll set the technical direction for the squad and act as a force multiplier for the team. You'll unblock delivery by solving complex technical challenges, including applying LLMs to solve real problems for care teams, not just bolt them on, setting clear architectural direction, and coaching engineers to ship high-quality work confidently. You'll stay close to the codebase where needed, but your focus is enabling the squad to move fast and build sustainably.

This is a high-ownership role with real scope to shape how care is evidenced and delivered safely across the platform, from care plans and risk assessments to clinical integrations (GP Connect) with the NHS, while leading a small, product-led squad with meaningful impact on the services and people who rely on them.

💰 Salary: £90K - £100K

🏢 Location: This role is based in London. Our mandatory in-office days are Wednesdays & Fridays.

As a Tech Lead, you are the technical heartbeat of the squad, balancing hands-on engineering, mentorship and strategic decision making to drive high impact outcomes:

As a Tech Lead you will:
  • Partner with PMs to lead development, set squad-level standards, define architectural patterns, and guide priorities

  • Advocate for user needs in technical decisions, working closely with Product and Design to deliver meaningful real-world value

  • Enable engineers to deliver effectively by unblocking progress, reducing complexity, and coaching strong technical decision-making

  • Lead technical planning by breaking down problems, surfacing risks early, and making clear trade-offs

  • Own end-to-end quality and reliability across the squad, including testing strategy, monitoring, releases, and incident response

  • Drive scalable system design, ensuring new services and features align with platform direction

  • Guide technical scoping and estimation, surfacing dependencies and constraints early

  • Use delivery, quality, and usage metrics to identify bottlenecks and continuously improve performance

  • Line-manage and mentor 3–5 engineers, supporting growth through feedback, coaching, and clear expectations

  • Take accountability for squad outcomes, stepping in early when delivery, quality, or technical risks emerge

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has strong full-stack experience with React, Node, MongoDB and TypeScript, and a track record solving complex engineering problems with AI

  • Has hands-on tech lead experience, combining technical leadership with people management

  • Has led product-led squads, working closely with PMs and designers to ship impactful features

  • Has experience building or leading SaaS products, ideally in B2B, with a good grasp of what it takes to scale a product commercially

  • Has a track record of driving impact in a scale-up or fast-growing product environment

  • Thrives in an environment that values user impact, ownership, and continuous learning

  • Cares deeply about solving meaningful problems for frontline care teams

  • Has practical exposure to shipping AI or ML-enabled features to production

The Interview process:
  1. Submit your Application

  2. Exploratory video call with Kris - Talent Partner 25 mins)

  3. Video Interview with Becca - Head of Product & Will - Product Manager (1 hour)

  4. Technical Video Interview with Matt - Tech Lead & Alex - Product Engineer

  5. In person final interview with Sam - Co-founder & CEO) & Adam - Co-founder and CTO) to discuss what you might bring to the role and how you might embody our values at LmC (20 minutes).

About Log my Care

Log my Care is the care management platform that helps you stay one step ahead 💜🧡

Going digital was the first move, we support you to go further - turning what you capture every day into the intelligence needed to make confident and proactive choices about your care operations. So you can prevent incidents, demonstrate quality, and deliver care that's genuinely person-led.

Log my Care brings everything together in one connected system with eMAR, rostering, family communication, and incident management built in. This means that nothing falls through the gaps as is often the challenge with fragmented systems and integrations. And because the system is also genuinely intuitive to use, teams love to use it and adoption takes care of itself. And, when a connected system meets high adoption, your data is more complete, insight is connected to reality, and every day operational improvement becomes measurable.

We believe deeply that data belongs to the individuals receiving care and the care teams delivering it. That’s why we design our system so that data is easily transferable and never locked in. We also know how important transparency is when you’re choosing a system, and that extends to how we work with new customers too - you can try it first and commit when you're ready. Once teams see it in action, they’re usually pretty eager to make the switch.

That’s why providers across the UK, from large learning disability providers to growing home care services, choose Log my Care to deliver more proactive, person-led care.
