Job Description

The CNC Technician - 3 works to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues on computer numerical control (CNC) machines. This position involves collaborating with outside vendors, tool room personnel, engineers, management, and operators to ensure CNC safety, maximize uptime, and maintain part quality. Additionally, the role requires modifying and troubleshooting programs and operating CNC routers.

  • Modify and troubleshoot CNC programs and operate CNC routers.
  • Maintain computerized maintenance management system for maintenance tracking.
  • Perform scheduled job orders, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs.
  • Train maintenance personnel on CNC systems.
  • Read instructions, gauges, and measure accurately.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work hours, including overtime as needed.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.
  • Rotate to other positions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Computer, mechanical and math aptitude.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate respectfully in a team setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing and job-related experience preferred.
  • Training experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
  • Training timeline for this position is up to 12 weeks or more.
